Ive had these boots about 3 months now and have worn them extensively. About 2 or 3 times a week which is about how often I hunt. I used them before and during bow season scouting stand locations and hunting. They always keep my feet dry and warm. I have yet to get a blister or hot spot from them. Being rubber they offer great scent control and if you wear them with a good pair of wool socks they will keep your feet warm in most conditions.

Overall the boots are good boots to keep your feet dry. You will have to walk through water deep enough you think you need waders before you get wet in these things. The biggest drawback is the camo coloring wears off after the first use. If I had them to buy over again I would save some money and just buy the regular greenish/brown colored pair to save some money on them. Also when the camo pattern wears off they are a funny almost white color.

Comments about LaCrosse® Alpha Burly® Sport 18" Rubber Boots:
Only a year old and they rotted. Big rotted tear on the back of one. The other rotted right where it bends on the top of the foot. My last Burly's lasted 6 years. Sad day in America when they can't make a great boot no more.

Comments about LaCrosse® Alpha Burly® Sport 18" Rubber Boots:
Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about when they say the color fades away i have had 2-pairs of these boots over the past 5 years and both are still in great shape and the camo pattern is still just like the day i bought them, these are by far the most comfortable waterproof boots i have ever worn, my average walk to my stand is 1/2-1 mile these boots are like walking in sneakers. Plenty warm enough on even a cold 30 degree morning with a good pair of socks, i would recommend that if you hunt in cooler temps and plan on wearing heavy socks that you go up 1 size from your normal size...definitley recomend these for ALL Hunters.

Q:
Are these poots true to size? If I wear a size 12 with a pair of wool socks will they be tight or loose?Asked on 12/12/2009 by Vinnie1 answer
A:
They fit true to size for me at least. I would suggest not getting the camo pattern boots. Save some money and buy the solid colored ones. The camo pattern wears off easily after first use.Answered on 1/7/2010 by allweatherhunter from St. Paul, MN
Q:
what is the thinsulate count of these bootsAsked on 9/29/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
Alphas are 1000 grams!Answered on 10/13/2009 by Losie Lee from Oak Creek WI
Q:

A:
Thinsulate is a type of insulation used in cold weather clothing. It provides moderate warm without using to much space or limiting mobility.Answered on 11/20/2009 by JOE from Forrest City, Ark
