I bought this unit from Gander Mountain in Corsicana TX about 4 months ago. I have run about 15 lbs of venison and antelope jerkey through it using the Guide Gear aluminum jerkey shooter. The dehydrator works great! Cleanup is easy, the fans are in the rear so there is no meat dripping into the fans. The trays are plastic but wirk fantastic and go right in my dishwasher for cleanup. The temperature controller is analog, but it has a digital temperature indicator as well as a digital timer. A big plus is that the unit turns itself off after the cycle is complete and the alarm sounds for a minute or two. I like that I can run a load of jerkey and go to bed and not worry about overcooking. I like to run my jerkey for about 2 hrs at 155 deg F and then in my smoker for an hour. Mmmmm delicious!

I like the design and efficient dehydrating time - also various temperature settings are great for raw food preparation.

I dehydrate wild mushrooms,herbs,make kale chips etc. I use a higher temperature than what is recommended otherwise it takes approx 40% more time. I use Parchment Paper for small items so they won't drop through the plastic grills as they shrink.
I love the fact that I'm not limited to the height of food items. Just take 1 or 2 racks out and throw in the parsley with the stems. When leaves nice dry they detached easily from the stem.

Got it as a Christmas present and just recently used it to dry 4 pounds of deer jerky... Wow! what a big difference.... Just ordered one for my daughter as a birthday gift, she fishes for salmon in Seattle WA with her boyfriend and is going to use it for drying salmon and fruit...

I got this for my son for Christmas and he had it running constantly the first week. He tried fruit, bear, deer and moose meat. We liked everything. It's nice because you can set it up right on your counter. It cleans up easy. Now my other son would like to get one too.
