Lightweight, but heavy on performance, Kimber Model 8400 is one of the finest production sporting rifles available today. It features a free-floated 24-inch match grade barrel, chamber, and trigger. Its barreled actions is bedded on twin aluminum pillars permanently bonded into the stock, and recoil lugs are glass bedded for both strength and accuracy. Straight combs and Pachmayr Decelerator pads dramatically reduce felt recoil. The Classic has a carefully shaped and hand-finished A-grade walnut sporter stock. The action is pillar bedded and the barrel free floated to maintain zero under the toughest field conditions. Metal surfaces are finished in matte blue to avoid reflection. This rifle has been drilled and tapped for scope mounts and features a three-position safety and and set of Leupold-style dovetail scope rings and bases. There are a few small dings in the rifle's wood and some handling marks. Over all, its wood, metal, and bore are in good condition.
