    I wondered if this handgun was worth the price as it is over twice as much as some nice 1911's (e.g., I own a Remington 1911 R1 which is a very nice gun). Bought for target shooting, really too big for concealed carry, IMHO.

    But right out of the box you are impressed with it. Looks great, shoots great. Great quality. A little tricky to disassemble but not bad. A few days after getting it I purchased the 22 LR conversion kit to both save some money and given the time of this review it is becoming increasing difficult to find quality .44 FMJ ammo (hope that changes soon). Have 400 rounds on hand for break-in if you purchase one of these as Kimber recommends it for break-in.

    Summary: Obviously big and heavy but that's no surprise. When picking it up at a firearms dealer (Gander Shipped it) another customer at the store couldn't take his eyes off it and asked questions about it for 5 minutes, he summed up by patting my shoulder and saying "Good Man". Well worth the money.

      Very Good Looking .45 ACP from Kimber. Very Accurate and very Powerful. I like the fact that the US Olympic committee uses this model, tells ya somethin about this gun and Kimber.
