Comments about Sun Dolphin KL Industries American 12' Jon Boat:
Great little boat, floats much better and is more stable than aluminum. Has high sides and trays to throw your tackle in. The only downside is the floor gives like a mattress when you stand on it. Easy fix though, couple of pieces of marine grade plywood and carpet. I grew up fishining in an aluminum Jon boat, love this much more it's quieter and does not get as hot as aluminum.

Comments about Sun Dolphin KL Industries American 12' Jon Boat:
This is great it floats like a cork! Much better floatation than aluminum and higher sides with storage trays. I was moving from seat to seat, slipped and had the thing up on it's side it did not go down, would have been swimming with aluminum. Also much quieter than aluminum when moving stuff around. There are only two negatives. It must be stored upside down out of sunlight(minor), the floor gives like a very firm matress when you stand on it. Simple fix cover a piece of PT plywood with marine carpet and place in the floor.

In our research, it says it will take up to a 6 hp gas engine, we have a 40 thrust trolling motor, for push in the creeks. Hope this helps.Answered on 8/13/2010 by Fishin Mission from Pulaski, TN
