Founded 1751 in Suhl by Johann Paul Sauer, J. P. Sauer & Sohn is the oldest gunmaking company in Germany. After surviving two wars and a variety of other struggles, one thing that hasn't changed about JP Sauer is the consistent quality with which their firearms are made. Imported to the US by SigArms, the Sauer 202 features a modular construction that allows for easy replacement of components and caliber changes. Its dependable bolt action is designed to be lightweight and fast. This rifle features a checkered walnut stock and a 24-inch blued barrel calibered for .30-06 ammunition. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in very good condition.
