I got this boot for upland game hunting. Not much snow(if any)where I hunt, but the ground can be very ftosty, cold and wet. These boots keep me warm, dry and are very comfortable. The side zipper is great for easy on and off. The price for this boot makes them a real steal.

I didnt even get a chance to hunt in them yet. After only 3 hours of training my pointer in light brush, the leather on the toe was getting thin like i had worn them for years. The stitching where the sole meets the upper is weak and coming out. Then, i went to take them off by unzipping and the zipper broke off in my hand. Also, the fold of material where you zip them up, rubs on your inner ankle.
My feet were dry after going through a sizeable puddle, so at least it has that going for it.

Comments about Itasca™ Men's Territory 400g 9" Side-Zip Hunting Boots:
This has been a great boot especially for the price. Bought these boots about 4 years ago and have worn them extensively hunting, fishing and camping in the fall and winter. Very comfortable and flexible. Have stayed waterproof. The zipper on one has finally failed but that's after a lot of use and to be expected (still keep wearing them). Will be buying another pair, I hope they keep making this boot.

Comments about Itasca™ Men's Territory 400g 9" Side-Zip Hunting Boots:
I purchased these boots about 3 or 4 years ago. I worn them only for weekend hunting trips during the fall deer seasons. The boots keep you dry and are comfortable overall. However, my only complaints are:
1)when sitting still for long periods of time in 30 degree or lower weather, my toes would get cold.
2)Durability- This year, they seem to have lost all cushion (I am only 200 lbs). The sole/waterproofing/construction are all still in good shape, just no more cushion.
Overall, for the price, they are great in my opinion. However, if you need something that will last for years with frequent use, or you will be using them in sub-30 degree weather, I would invest in a different boot.

Comments about Itasca™ Men's Territory 400g 9" Side-Zip Hunting Boots:
Very poorly developed. the outer rubber sole is completely detatching from leather upper being worn 8 hrs a day maybe 20 times. Also, rubber sole is too thin. Not useful for nesessary roughness. Other than rubber sole, a good work shoe.

Comments about Itasca™ Men's Territory 400g 9" Side-Zip Hunting Boots:
My last hunting boots I owned lasted 20+ years. They made their last hunting trip a few weeks before Christmas. I was given this pair of boots as a gift. THEY are awesome. I love how they feel on my feet and can feel the ground very well in each step. I was crossing a stream and when jumped across landed in mud hole and kinda sank some. My feet stayed very dry and warm.

Comments about Itasca™ Men's Territory 400g 9" Side-Zip Hunting Boots:
Had a pair of Itasca waterproof boots but got lost in a move. Been looking for these boots at a resonable price for years and for them at Gander Mountain. Even though you may walk through mud, water, or in freezing conditions, your feet stay warm and dry. I have had other boots that were supposed to be waterproof that didn't live up to the hype, but these really are. Should have bought 2 pair.

Q:
Is the sole of the boot supposed to come off after I have owned them for one year?Asked on 11/7/2009 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
The longest factory warranty on standard consumer footwear is one year. After a year, it is unlikely that any footwear is going to be devoid of some kind of serious wear and tear. Some higher end boot companies give longer warranties, but you will pay a much much higher price to obtain them.Answered on 2/25/2013 by Jimmy P from Roanoke, VaA:
I am starting to have same issue. Purchased these boots and love them, but seam has started to seperate. Called Gander customer service and my warranty is less than 30-days out, but out none the less.Answered on 1/11/2010 by West from Eastern N.C.
Q:
Should I waterproof the leather, or use something to treat them before taking them out in the field? If so, what type of product should I use?Asked on 7/12/2009 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
These boots are already waterproof. If there is any leakage at all in a new boot, return them for a refund or replacement; they are under warranty. That said, if you want them to last long-term, you should use a cleaning solution that also conditions the leather after every strenuous use. Leather dry rots and cracks if allowed to air dry while dirty; using a conditioner will prevent that problem.Answered on 2/25/2013 by Jimmy P from Roanoke, VaA:
