Got this for our little granddaughters who want to sleep together when they spend the night. They have also decided to use it for a play area and spend hours playing on it & watching tv as well as sleeping on it at night. We also plan to take it to our camper this summer to use as a spare bed there too.

It does not hold air ! I got it brand new out of the box. Every night while camping, i got only about 5 hours of sleep because that's how long it took the thing to DEFLATE. I dont' think the hard plastic cap can make a good seal. Coleman makes air bed with *softer* cap that seals tightly. I'm surprised that INTEX is a well known brand, yet this particular model is recently discontinued from their website for some reason. Maybe it's due to this defective valve design.

Comments about Intex® Recreation Twin Classic Downy Air Bed:
I bought these for a camping trip with my son and daughter-in-law. They were easy to transport and inflate, and they were surprisingly comfortable -- after we added a memory foam pad. They do not really need the additional comfort, but the cold from the ground penetrated through the mattress. If you haven't guessed by now, I am not a regular camper, and they wanted this to be a luxurious experience. I did, in fact, sleep longer and better than I do at home!
