Comments about Intex Challenger 2 Boat Set With Oars and Pump:

I weigh over 300 pounds, so most inflatable kayaks wont work for me. But this one being designed for two people works great. I just shift the seat back. I have plenty of leg room and the boat is very stable. My wife is large too, so we each bought one and had a great time using them on vacation. We look forward to doing more on the lakes and rivers than we ever have before. We really love these boats. The only complaint we have is the fin you insert to keep the boat going straight has a tendency to come loose. It just slides into place and a rubber hook holds it. When the weather is hot, this rubber is very pliable and can move out of position. Or the track that holds the fin will become to pliable to firmly hold the fin. The other thing to be aware of is that they changed the paddle they sell with this boat. The first one we bought had a double fin paddle that was like two ends of a rowing oar. But the second one had a contoured blade like "real" kayak paddles have. It also had a a way to vary the blade position like higher end paddles. But both boats have the same model number. So I don't know how you can tell which paddle type you will get.

Comments about Intex Challenger 2 Boat Set With Oars and Pump:

The skeg fell out within minutes, lost forever. It's useless without the skeg, and when I called customer service they were not helpful. I was sad, but returned it. It is apparently a common problem, as the skeg is slid into a channel that must widen with weight.
