Originally imported from Switzerland, the Dragoon's production was later taken over by Virginian company Interarms Industries, the largest privately owned firearms distributor of the 1970's. The single-action Virginian Dragoon revolver is similar in many ways to the famous Colt Peacemaker, but easily set apart from other SAA-style revolvers by its extremely smooth action. Interarms' Virginian Dragoons were made with a heavier barrel than their Swiss predecessors to handle heavy .44 Magnum loads. The Virginian Dragoons are also notable for the slot that was in each revolver cast about a quarter of an inch below the top of the frame and their engraved grip frame. This revolver features a ramped front sight, an adjustable rear sight, a case-hardened frame, and wooden grips and comes with the original factory box. Its wood and metal are in good condition and its bore is in very good condition.
