I am a Disabled Veteran who enjoys camping. I needed a way to keep things cool for a long period of time I did MUCH research and decided on the Yukon. It was in my opinion better than the Yeti. Igloo has been trusted by my family for generations and the Yukon not only met my expectations but surpassed them!
I received my Yukon 50 about a week ago. Unboxing it found a very well constructed Cooler it looks and feels like it is one piece. The drain plug is designed so that it is easy to use and drains very quickly. I tested this cooler for five days and even after five days the ice was still almost full and the contents ice cold, I have had several coolers over the years but nothing to compare to the YUKON!!! I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!!!!

This cooler is amazing. It stays cold longer than any other cooler on the market. If you need a cooler that last and will pay for its self in the ice you save the Yukon Cold Locker is it. I have researched all other brands on the market and all flaws people mention with the others Igloo Fixed with its Yukon Cold Lockers. The oversized drain plug makes draining so easy. No more need to trip the cooler over or wait for it to drain all the water before adding more ice. Another thing I love about this cooler is the handles. They are not cheap rope ones like others have and are built to last. The Yukon Cold Locker will also keep your food colder longer using Dry Ice. The roto-molded design allows the Yukon to keep your food cold all week. No more needing to leave the woods to run get ice. I brought mine to the deer lease and we had a head to head battle between my Igloo Yukon 50 qt and a Yeti Tundra 50 qt of my fathers. The Yukon has Stainless steel Lock holes to allow you to pad lock the cooler shut the Yeti did not. The Yukon has a oversize drain plus the Yeti does not. The Yukon handles are tougher and will outlast the Yeti. The Yukon held ice almost 2 days longer and keep the beer ice cold all week. The feet on the Yukon will allow you to change between non-skid and standard the Yeti makes you buy this as an upgrade. The weight of both was about the same but every at the deer lease agreed the Yukon felt better and more stable holding it. Igloo has been a brand we have trusted for 60 years. It has always been a worldwide leader in the cooler market and that tradition carries on with the Yukon cold locker series. I would recommend this Cooler to everyone and anytime I get a chance I do. My brother and my father recently upgraded for a Yeti to a Yukon after testing with mine for the week. If you want to get your father something he will love for Father's Day this is it.
