Product DescriptionIcom's new Single Side-Band is smaller, easier to use, and more technologically advanced than any other Marine SSB ever. A true digital radio with a remote head. The unit features 160 user-programmable memory locations in the marine band, full VFO tuning in the amateur radio band, and a 10-button key pad for directly entering a frequency. The IC-M802 has SC-101 DSC, and like popular radios, this will allow you to send your position in an emergency. It will also make it easier to locate the vessel you are trying to communicate with. With 150 watts of power, which is adjustable for e-mail users, the radio has the range for worldwide communications. The head unit can use the matching speaker or an existing speaker you already have installed. The front panel has a headphone jack, so you don't have to reach the back of the unit. This radio is truly e-mail ready and comes with the filters you need for the most popular modems. Weather fax is as easy as plugging into a laptop and tuning the frequency for your software. There is even a port for a printer. The main unit can be mounted anywhere and is 30% smaller than the M710. Designed with a large cooling fan and mounting bracket. Frequency range includes 1.6 to 27.5 MHz on transmit and .5 to 29.99 MHz on receive. Includes HAM frequencies. Uses Icom Model AT-140 tuner. Features pass through tuning and improved connectors. Includes a remote matching speaker, model SP-24. Head unit measures 8.7"W x 4.4"H x 3.3"D. Black Box radio measures 11.4"W x 4.7"H x 11.4"D. Two-year warranty.
