back to topScent-A-Way Tek 4 Base Layer Apparel
Scent-A-Way Tek 4 utilizes state-of-the-art silver technology to dramatically reduce odor-causing bacteria, keeping you harder to detect in the field. Nylon threads permanently encapsulated in pure silver are woven into the garment, giving it odor-reducing properties that last for the life of the garment. Easy to care for, these durable, fade-resistant pieces do not require special treatment to be recharged, but are able to be washed with other clothing. Tek 4 apparel is also designed and engineered to provide incredible moisture management, incorporating "catch, move, and release" technology, which traps moisture and moves it away from the body where it can be treated by the silver and evaporated away. This keeps you dry and comfortable in a wide range of weather conditions. Tek 4 also offers unique thermal properties, keeping you warm when it is cold and cool when the temperature rises. Silver - one of the most thermally conductive elements on the planet - helps to optimize body temperature control. Tek 4 fabric is highly breathable, extremely comfortable, and wears like silk.

Comments about Hunter's Specialties Hunter's Specialties® Men's Scent-A-Way™ Tek 4™ Heavyweight Camo Base Layer Pant:
I decided on these tek4 garments from HS after doing a significant amount of research on the web, comparing reviews, etc, etc. I will say that I am more than satisfied. I wore both the Heavyweight base shirt and pants by them selves on a warm weather (85 degrees) hunt and was amazed at the moisture wicking ability and how cool they kept my body. I had roughly a .50 mile hike to my blind, which is situated about 20 yards from a dropping persimmon tree. Of course by the time I got to the blind, I was sweating bullets, but only from my head and face. Once I settled into the blind, I wiped down my face with some HS scent-a-way towels. I thought for sure I would get winded due to the close proximity of the blind to the tree, however I had close to 14 whitetails come in that afternoon and was never detected.
Do to a recent cold snap here in Georgia, I also have had several chances to wear these on cold weather hunts (35 degree mornings) They kept me extremely warm as a base layer with only wearing a thin fleece outer. Cold was not an issue. I am a seasoned trophy hunter have spent thousands of dollars on hunting garments. Let me just say that I will NOT be shopping for another base layer. The tek4 base layer will be in my arsenal for years to come. A+++++++

This is basically a repost of my comments on the matching baselayer top. First of all, I am a big guy (6 foot 1 and weighing in around 300 pounds.) I ordered this baselayer bottom for this hunting season, because I am planning to do as many all day sits in the treestand as possible and since I only hunt during firearms season I wanted a warm baselayer. I ordered the 3XL size bottom and I have nothing bad to say about it, I actually probably got away with purchasing the 2XL bottoms since they have a elastic waistband. I wore, it believe it or not, to check my trail cameras on a sunny 86 degree day. Not only did I have this product on but I was concerened about it getting torn since I'd be walking through brush, so I put on long camo pants and a longsleeve Tshirt over the baselayers(I had the heavyweight baselayer top on as well). I walked approximately 1 1/4 miles to my camera through a cornfield. By the time I got there yea I was hot and sweaty around the neck and hands where the garmet didnt cover, but under the baselayers I was quite dry, not to mention the spots covered by the garmet was much cooler (I would say by around 10 degrees) than those that were not. 10 degrees is alot when your talking upper 80's temperatures, not to mention I had to walk all the way back. Since I just got it in August, I have not yet tested it in cold temperatures, however the garmet is quite warm when you first put it on due to the inside lining. I have no doubt that this base layer top and bottom combination will definitely keep me warm for those all days sits in November. I am definitely looking forward to my all day sits in the stand this year!

I bought this undewear for a Archery hunting trip to Kansas, this is the most comfortable underwear I have every used. It does as stated, keeps you warm when cold, cool when hot, I cannot find enough kind words to describe how pleased I am.
If you are looking for a quality underwear look no farthur, do not let the price scare you off, it is worth every penny you spend. I am a 71 year old male, have hunted all my life, and this is the first time I have taken time to recommend a product. Believe me I have tried it all. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 10+. I took a beautiful 12 point Buck at 25 yards that never knew I was there. Had deer come up down wind, and was never winded even once. There is something to this Silver thing and this product proves it.
