Open-ended tip allows for less fouling
Exposed lead causes expansion upon impact
Lack of depression in tip slows bullet expansion
Jacket design provides accuracy at all ranges
The Hornady Varmint Soft Point Bullet has a streamlined design for ultra-flat trajectories. It also has an open-ended tip, which allows for less fouling and exposes some of the lead causing expansion upon impact. The Varmint Soft Point's lack of a depression in the tip lets the bullet expand more slowly upon impact than a hollow point bullet. Its jacket design provides maximum accuracy at all ranges.
