Hogue Grips' Laser Enhanced Grip is based on a fully programmable, digitally-controlled microprocessor circuit, rather than based on simple analog designs. The grip is programmed with three operating modes (steady, flashing, or stealth target) and three user-selectable intensity levels (low, medium, and high) into the Laser Enhanced Grip's circuit. Designers of this grip also tapped into sophisticated power management routines to ensure long life from two common CR-2032 batteries hidden under the grip on the non-laser side. This important design feature enables battery changes that won't take the laser out of zero.
The Laser Enhanced Grip is bore-sighted at the factory while fine windage and elevation adjustments are accessible via small set screws. All of the LE Grip's programming features are accessible via pressure-sensitive programming buttons. The Laser Enhanced Grip for S&W J-Frame revolvers is truly unique due to engineers embedding the system's 630-670nm>5mw Class 3R red laser diode, circuitry, and batteries into two custom-designed frip frames that sit underneath a classic Hogue one-piece Rubber Grip. The grip is composed of wraparound panels that house the laser, along with finger grooves and Hogue's famous cobblestone texture for a secure grip. Made in the USA.
