Founded in 1926 in Hamden Connecticut, the High Standard Manufacturing Company has been primarily known for their legacy of supremely accurate target pistols. First manufactured in 1941, the High Standard Model H-B in 1941 is a self-loading, recoil-operated, semi-automatic pistol. Like many other target pistols, the Model H-B has a Luger-style grip angle for increased accuracy and fires inexpensive, recoil-minimizing .22 LR rounds. This pistol features an exposed hammer, a blade front sight with a fixed rear notch, a slide-stop safety, and a 10-round magazine. Its grips, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
