Comments about High Sierra® Cirque 30 Day Pack:
This pack is a super value. I have had it out in the rain and it kept everything nice and dry. I love the waist belt and sternum strap. Many daypacks do not have these. It holds a great deal more than I expected. This pack is perfect for a long dayhike or overnight.

Comments about High Sierra® Cirque 30 Day Pack:
This is a great all around pack. The material is nice on the inside as well as the outside. The hipbelt is well padded and there are plenty of attach points around the perimeter. I use it for hiking and school book carrying, and it has done all I asked.
My only complaints are there is no pencil/pen organizer in either the main compartment or the front compartment. The front compartment only has a mesh divider down the middle, but you still have to dig for odds and ends. There is a small hanging pocket in the main compartment (with a zipper opening) that you can store the random object, but the opening is so close to the top that you sometimes have a hard time getting in and out of it (esp. if that object is a pen).
The zippers work fine for me, contrary to other reviews around the net, and have large flaps to keep the seam dry (although I fold them back for easy zipping).
No hip belt pockets.
Another minor complaint is the suspension tends to loosen over time, requiring you to hitch it back up. I solved this issue by doubling them back through the clasp, but I probably will invest in some higher quality ones that grip the material better.
Note: this pack is designed for people with shorter torso lengths (the distance from the base of the back of your neck to your hip bone. I am 6' and the hipbelt rides well above my hip bone, meaning it doesn't transfer the weight to your hips very well. More for people in the 5'10" range I would think.
Still a great pack I plan to use for a while. The right price too!

Comments about High Sierra® Cirque 30 Day Pack:
This backpack is very high quality. It is quite comfortable, and distributes the load well. My major problem with it is that it is smaller than it looks in the picture. It could also use another pocket for better organization. When it is filled to the brim, it's a little hard to find stuff in it.

Comments about High Sierra® Cirque 30 Day Pack:
Bought this to replace two Gander Mtn Daypacks which were poor quality and fell apart within a few days of light use. This was built rugged like you would expect a pack to be built with large zippers and quality materials. I have been using this as my main hunting daypack and it has performed flawlessly. Skip the brand name camo and try this pack out, for less than [$] you can't go wrong!

Comments about High Sierra® Cirque 30 Day Pack:
I use it to hike ito the Mountains/Hills when on vacation for a day hike, or a quick overnighter.
I love the paded waste belt and sternum strap, something a bit difficult to find in day packs. I'm an athletic guy, so wanted to be able to get a versatile pack, someting i could use for hiking and even skiing, being able to put an extra pair of shoes, clothes, and water bladder. I'll leave that "Lap Top" computer home, thank you much!!

A:
It may be a little big for an 11 year old, depending on his height. I'm 5'8", and it fits me just about perfectly. It is pretty adjustable, but I don't see it working for someone under 5'6".Answered on 10/20/2009 by Greg from Pleansant Gap, PA
Q:
Can I buy this bag in a different color?Asked on 6/15/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
I believer that Gander Mtn only sells this backpack in this green color. But it is able to be purchased in different colors from other stores.Answered on 7/6/2009 by ChrisB from Dracut MA
