A couple of people claimed the wieght was a problem. However there is really no recoil, the gun feels sturdy, and the accuracy is spot on and repeatable.

Comments about Hi-Point Model 40 Handgun:
Seen this at the local gunshow, had read the reviews on several sites, and for the low price, I decided it wasn't much to lose by getting one to play with. Wow, I was surprised on how well this weapon shoots! 7 yrds and shot groups in the size of a quarter, consistantly. Shot about 200 rounds the first day and still haven't had any jams. Easy to shoot, due to the weight, hardly no recoil, very good sights. Not a pretty weapon, but it makes up for it's looks in the way it shoots, and it's reliability. Now, I'm waiting for another gunshow to buy me one of their 45s to play with. If you like function over form, this is a good weapon. I've had 40s and 45s that were pretty, and expensive, but didn't shoot near this good.

Don't expect the Laser that is shown in picture with ad, you will receive a cheaper model with out a pressure swich, as shown in the picture. When I contacted them, one of there gun people said thereis no Laser for that gun ???
