I love this firearm! Out of the box it was point of aim, point of impact. Held a one inch group at 25 yards with first box of ammo. My 14 year old son loves it and held a tight group as well. This gun has functioned without incident thus far. I had done extensive research and it received great reviews. I was hesitant to buy a Hi Point but after owning this I will buy another carbine.

What else do you want for the money! I have 2 of these in the 9mm and the matching pistol. great all around go-to leave them in the truck (or anywhere) guns. Yes their guns are a tad heavy but they are about impossible to destroy and Hi-point has a LIFETIME WARRANTY! and believe me they WILL take care of it NO QUESTIONS. Case in point I lent my oldest one to a friend and they accidently ran a .380 thru it and followed it with a 9mm. and gave mine the "ring of death". sent it in and told them I would pay for the repair as it was abuse, (also bear in mind this gun has 10K plus thru it) they sent it back good to go NO CHARGE and even send an extra magazine to reimburse your postage! Tip for this and those who get the pistol, when you have fail to feed issues its because the gun is dry and the feed ramp is dirty. Other tip DO NOT USE STEEL CASE cheap ammo, it is the only thing that WILL void the warranty. Customer service is spot-on as it is a U.S.A. FAMILY OPERATED business, I use this gun at the range more than my beretta CX4 as it shoots just as straight and is just a hoot to shoot. :)

This carbine is great. Put hundreds of rounds through it with no problems. Sharp and accurate. For home defense, now a days, you also have to worry about someone in your street causing a problem. This carbine will keep them in the street and off your lawn. Much better than facing them with a hand gun on your front door step,

Couldn't believe the fun I would have shooting this at an indoor range. Already shooting 9mm handguns so this was a no brainer. It's quieter than my handguns, accurate (plopped an Eotech on top, cost more than the rifle, removed the front sight) and has no recoil (some cheek sting is noticed). Added a Grippod (required some Dremeling of the rail) and a Moerse Lekker shroud and it's my favorite short range weapon. Since the indoor range max is 25yrds this is perfect. Holds tight groups regardless of ammo or frequency of cycling (although they are only 10 round clips).
