Built from the ground up to be the best waterfowl load on the market Hevi-Shot's Speed Ball ammunition has several unique features that make it one of the best. Speed Ball uses existing Hevi-Shot technology and adds to it the MV2 steel shot technology to make one of the best waterfowl loads on the market. The first innovation is the elastomeric Speed Ball in the base of the shell that accelerates the pellet velocity while keeping pressures in check. Next is the MV2 steel core copper-clad pellets that are Heavier Than Steel but feature a soft outer copper layer that has been metallurgicaly fused to the steel core. Using proprietary processes a copper layer 22 times thicker than plated copper pellets allows the MV2 pellets to be denser than conventional steel pellets. The last addition is the use of layer technology from the Hevi-Metal loads, featuring a Hevi-Shot layer and a MV2 layer. This all results in the higher pellet counts and lethal pellet energy of the original Hevi-Shot loads at a lower price and higher speeds.
