Case-Hardened Steel Receiver/Buttplate
Invented in the late 1850s by Benjamin Tyler Henry, this revolutionary lever action repeating rifle was the most important firearm of its time and went on to become the most legendary American firearm of all time. Today's Henry Originals are true to Henry’s 1860 patterns and patents and virtually identical aside from concessions necessary to adapt to the .44-40 centerfire rounds that replaced the long-obsolete rimfires. The Iron-Framed Original Henry Rifle has a case-hardened steel receiver that gives it the same look and feel as the ultra-rare and highly collectible iron-framed Henrys. The rifle also features a 24-1/2 inch octagonal barrel/tubular feed, a genuine American fancy walnut stock, and a classic folding ladder rear sight paired with a traditional blade front sight.
