Product DescriptionThe Henry Golden Boy is a masterpiece of fine crafted gunsmithing, impressing shooting enthusiasts with its excellent fit, finish, and overall visually elegant design. The Golden Boy's awesome 20-inch blued octagonal barrel, American walnut stock, brass buttplate and gleaming Brasslite receiver will transport you back to the wild and woolly days of America's Old West. Small game hunters and plinkers will appreciate its substantial 6-3/4 pound heft of the Golden Boy .22. It balances well and makes for highly accurate offhand shooting. The smooth action associated with Henry rifles opens and shuts with the effortless slickness lever-lovers long for. Adding to the historic authenticity is the adjustable buckhorn-type rear sight.
The gleaming nickel-plated receiver is adorned with spectacular engraving hand cut by Henry engraver Rob Bunting. The right side is highlighted by the image of a majestic bald eagle accented by distinctive American scrollwork and a banner proclaiming the proud sentiment of all Eagle Scouts: Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle. The left side bears the image of the famous Eagle Scout medal and banners reading Eagle Scout and Boy Scouts of America. The engraved images on both sides and the winged leaf border are selectively plated with brilliant 24-karat gold.
A tri-colored medallion replicating the Eagle Scout badge is inserted into the richly grained American walnut stock. The six badges of advancement which mark a scout's advancement to the Eagle Scout rank and the text Trail to Eagle are inscribed on the right side of the forearm and hand painted with gleaming gold fill.
