Comments about H&R 1871 Inc H&R Survivor Centerfire Rifle:
I have a Bushnell 3200 elite 3-9x50 on this thing and it's almost as big as the gun. This thing shoots dead on accurate every time. It was billed as a 'survival' type gun so I've always wondered why it didn't come with iron sights too; 'just in case'. But I still really like it. I use Federal Power-Shok, 150 Grain Jacketed Soft Point, never miss, and it lays out the white tails (6 so far)! Since the trigger is a little heavy I also recommend you get a .308 CHAMBER ADAPTER that allows you to shoot .32 caliber pistol ammo in this rifle. Since it's a short barrel single shot it's perfect for it, and it will help you loosen your trigger for cheap.
