Comments about H&R 1871 Inc H&R Single Shot 45-70 w/32" Barrel/Case Hardened Receiver/Walnut Stock:
Very good shooting rifle right out of the box. I'm a big fan of single shot rifles so it fits well into my collection. I only have a few complaints about the rifle due to the use of some "plastic" parts but to be honest overall it is a great value and well worth the price. I also really like that it is chambered in .45/70 govt. The color case hardened finish is very nice and the wood to metal fit is very well done as well. You will not be disappointed if you decide to get one.

I liked it when I first got it. After shooting it I fell in love! This is a fantastic gun. It will truly amaze you how accurate this thing is without a scope. This is the way to go if you want a 45-70. She (yes I said she) will impress you enough to name her :)

Comments about H&R 1871 Inc H&R Single Shot 45-70 w/32" Barrel/Case Hardened Receiver/Walnut Stock:
After I opened the aperture on rear sight slightly it made the rifle more suited for hunting than precision target shooting, however, I was still able to shoot 3 shot sub-inch groups @ 100 yards off bench with just iron peeps & new Leverevolution .45/70 325 grain. Fun to shoot...
