                            No, not in the kit. But simple to purchase a small bag of preservative powder from any of the taxidermy suppliers found on the internet. Just sprinkle it on and let set for a few days with the feathers pinned in a fan and its done.

                            Yes, the preservation instructions are included. My advice would be to buy some Borax before you begin hunting and keep it throughout the season. Borax is a great preservative!
