    this little safe has been the best one yet for storing my pistol in a secure, yet easy to access fashion. the cable anchor allows me to secure it to my bed frame while it is at home with me and to the frame of the seat in my truck when i want to bring my pistol with me and have to leave it behind for whatever reason. its portability, solid construction and accessibility has earned it an A+ in my book!

    I have had two of these. Both have had the buttons stop working. To make it worse, when I got the second one to replace the first, it had the same key as the first! So they all have the same keys?!? The buttons stink when they do work. They are not like the "clicky" buttons the OLD gunvaults have. There it no tactile feedback and the response is slow. I can enter the same code into my OLD gunvault multiple 3x faster than on this. What really ticks me off is that now they are using these terrible buttons on all their products.[...]

              The Micro Vault by GunVault is a superb product. It is large enough to hold any semi-automatic pistol (or two subcompacts) yet small enough to easily fit in a nightstand drawer or under the bed. Mine is cabled to the bed frame (cable included), and my wife's is also. Set-up is easy. Great protection for grandchildren; quick access for emergencies. Sturdy and attractive on the outside, soft foam pads on the inside. I highly recommend the Micro Vault by GunVault; in fact, I plan to buy an additional one for use in another place. EXCELLENT PISTOL SAFE!

                        According to the manufacturer's video, the override key is both for when you don't remember the code OR the batteries die. Therefore I doubt the combo still works, but I cannot verify as I am also only shopping for one, and do not own one yet.
