Comments about Guide Series® Spinning Rod, 6'6" 1-Piece Medium Heavy:
I keep coming back for more of Ganders rods and reels. For the price they are good quality rods that will last years if you take care of them.

Comments about Guide Series® Spinning Rod, 6'6" 1-Piece Medium Heavy:
First off, let me say that I haven't had a chance to get on the water with this rod yet. But, I got an Abu Garcia Cardinal 503 that I picked up for 10 bucks in a pawn shop, cleaned it up, and put it on this rod. Total I've got about 65 dollars in the combo. I've fished the Cabelas Fish Eagle IIs for several years and love those rods. However, they are $20 more and I have no Cabelas near me. So I went on over to Gander Mountain and picked one of the 6'6 MH rods up. Everything on it scream quality. I love that it has Fuji guides and seat, and the end cap with the gander logo is a sweet touch. The only thing I don't like so much is that it's made in China. The carbon fiber wrapping on the first six inches of the rod looks awesome too, as do the wrappings that keep the guides on. This is the best looking fishing rod I've seen. The handle is extremely comfortable. Now I just need to get on the lake and land some fish with it, but I know it wouldn't have any problems landing a 20 lb redfish or a big ole striper.

Comments about Guide Series® Spinning Rod, 6'6" 1-Piece Medium Heavy:
I bought this rod this spring to fish a old pit close to my home. This is not my first Gander rod. I also have a 5'6" pro select in a light action that I use in the River by my house. The new Gander Mtn. Guide Series rods are great for people that want a quality rod at a good price. They have great action and power.
