Product Description
guide_series The Guide Series Briar-Stop Upland Retriever Vest 1 keeps you comfortable and protected on long days in the field. Heavy-duty 58% cotton, 42% polyester canvas fabric withstands tough brush and sticks, while diamond-quilted shooting patches at both shoulders help absorb recoil. Reinforced binding at the neck seam, center-front placket, armholes, and sweep hem ensures long-wearing durability. The open V-neck design and full-length front zipper allow for controlled ventilation to prevent overheating. The Briar-Stop Upland Retriever Vest 1 is packed with plenty of convenient storage space, including: two welt chest pockets with secure zipper closures; two bellowed front cargo pockets with interior elastic shell loops and hidden magnetic flap closures; two side-entry handwarmer pockets set behind the cargo pockets; two rear water-bottle pockets with elastic openings; two attached D-rings at the center front; and an internal chest patch pocket with hook-and-loop closure. Stash your prey inside the taffeta-lined game bag in back, which secures with zipper and hook-and-loop closures at the top and expands at the side seams for even more storage. A front access area with hidden snap closure allows you to load game easily without having to remove the vest. Imported.

Comments about Guide Series Mens Brush Buster Upland Vest:

Took a bit to warm up to the front loading pockets, but they are good for stuffing hats and gloves into when you don't want to stop. Rear bag loads OK. This has two pouches for a waterbottle, one on each side of rear bag. Each front puch has a magnetic catch on it, if you want to leave the flap up, it stays up or down. Each slash pocket on the chest will easily hold a Garmin GPS or a digital camera (even both in same pocket). I like the gear tiedown on the upper edge of eack chest pocket. Tie off your GPS or whistles there. When I bought it, I was asked to get an extended warranty. The front zipper has failed at times. However, with the design of this vest, if that did happen, I'd just buy a YKK zipper and sew it in myself. So far, after three weeks of woodcock hunting in the swamps, the zipper is holding up great. One down side, this vest is hot if used in early season (65 and up), due to the front loading design and the full torso. But it really helps in high wind and snow.

Comments about Guide Series Mens Brush Buster Upland Vest:

I picked up this vest two weeks ago, an all blaze for big game hunting and like it very much. I have another vest similar for upland bird that was purchased seven years ago; not all blaze and no magnets but buttons on the pocket flaps. Therefore, I had NO SECOND THOUGHTS about purchasing this all blaze for big game use. I've always been impressed with Gander Mtn. and Cabela's clothing lines. These are two outfitters clothing lines that seem to work for my applications.
