I went to the Wind River Range in the Rocky Mountains and used this pack for the week. We hiked approx. 40+ miles and it was perfect. Could have went longer with this pack. Excellent size and one large compartment, which I prefer. Not real sure about the built in rain fly, but I did get to test it in a nasty hail storm and it held up fine. I would recommend this pack to everyone, however, I haven't had it too long to attest to its durability.

          Best Uses

          • Day Pack Or Weekend Trips

I bought this pack to lighten up my load and replace my larger pack, which I tend to overload with unnecessary items. The pack should work well for the intended use. I would like at least a pocket or 2 on the front, but I guess the (1) big one will do. Also, cinch straps on the mesh side pockets would have made this pack a lot better, especially when the elastic begins to wear, othewise, pretty much as advertised.
