This is a great product based on price, quality, easy of use. Better than others at simlar price point. One big plus is the base, it's metal and has good grip teeth to dig into ruff bark and take hold; no slippage. I left the mount & first arm attached all bow & gun deer season in 2009 and would carry the rest to and from the stand every hunt. In the dark, I'd just slide the rest in and tighten and be up and ready in minutes. The first arm only squeeked a couple times in early morning cold (teen degrees) upon first movement, but it would be fine after that. I used a Sony MiniDVD Handycam with it. Product still looks great 2yrs later. Worked great on hunts, but do wish it had either longer arms or one more arm. Missed getting footage of my kill on 12pt buck of a lifetime that came in on me on the opposite side of the tree I had it mounted. Arms aren't long enough to reach around you when you are facing away from the base, so it must be manuvered between you and tree to get to that angle. I didn't have time nore patience to pass up shooting that buck. I didn't use it for 2010 season but will when I get a better camera. For 2010 I used Kodak Zi8 with Deer Ridge Gun and Bow Camera Mount. Both of those are great too! I would recommend using this product for anyone interested in getting good steady footage of your hunt. It's a do it yourself product if you can multitask well.

I bought this before bow season this year to film my hunts in Iowa and Illinois for our Pro-Staff. It was our first year, so I was self-filming. It was a nice arm for how I hunted. I could move it around easily. It didn't make a squeak until the 60th or so time I put it up. It was really nice. One downfall is the length of two arms compared to having three. It was a little poor on how durable it was, but overall it's not bad. I used a light camera and not one of the professional larger cameras, so therefore, it held up longer.

For the price you pay it is a nice camera arm. Yah there are a little and a lot better ones out there but for at least double the price. This works great for filming yourself as well as filming a friend.

I have 2 of these now and plan to buy more. I've been using them for over 3 years now and I don't have a single complaint. I use them in treestands hunting whitetail with bow and gun. My best advice is to practice putting it up and taking it down in the dark or buy a few for different stand locations.
