Best product I found for the price. Easy to use, light, compact and easy to carry. Steady as a rock when you need it. I have used it to take game at over 125 yards with my muzzleloader. Sturdy enough to use as a walking stick when the upper sections are extended.

okay. I read another review that said "I would buy this again" and well, I have been through 3 of these this year alone. I like some things about it. The pointed end is great for tree stands and it is VERY sturdy to shoot from. But the first one I had the paint came off at the first sign of Freezing weather, leaving a very shiny finish that cost me some deer! So I took that one back and got number 2. I took it out hunting for the first time and as I was walking a woods line I had it extended as a walking stick when a ten point bounced up and stopped 75yds out. Easy shot for the t/c encore pro hunter right? yes well when you pull the gun up, set it on the stick and it collapses with all the tabs closed as the deer runs over the hill you get kinda words they won't let you post! I exchanged it for a new one (#3) that I put through the ringer before I left the store to make sure this wouldn't happen again. The first time out I got out of the truck and started to extend it out when the largest compression lock broke in half! After a few choice words and seeing how far I can throw it haha I returned it and got a trigger stick bi-pod style and have been happy since. What I'm trying to say is do not waste you're money by purchasing this item. Thanks.

Comments about Gorilla Gear 62" Shooting Stick:
This is a great product if you need to steady your gun when shooting. Open the stick locks, slide it up, lock it, shoot. Couldn't be much easier. Stick is well built and should last forever with reasonable care. Also makes a great steady rest for a camera, spotting scope, binoculars, etc as the top screws off to expose a mounting screw. Also makes a fine walking stick. Besides myself, I bought one of these for my elderly father to help settle his wavering handgun. He LOVES it. He's also a woodworker so he's going to turn a fancy finial to put on top of the stick when he's out walking. The only minor thing is that both of us had a heck of a time initially pulling out the very bottom pointed section of the stick. I was able to work it loose with my hands. We had to use a pliers, with cloth protecting the teeth, to pull his out. After getting it out the initial time it seems to no longer be a problem.

Used this shooting stick to sight in a new rifle. A little more movement than I would like for sighting in, but it will be perfect for in the field. Plan on using it inside a ground blind for deer hunting.

Comments about Gorilla Gear 62" Shooting Stick:
I just had shoulder surgery and can not hold a gun steady with my left arm. This shooting stick provided me with the stability to continue to still hunt. It is great that this stick also doubles as a hiking staff. Lightweight and compact, I recommend this item to anyone that wants that one shot, one kill.

Q:
I basically have the same question as asked on 10-23-09. define quick-release lever lock system. Is it like the old camera tripod, you lift a lever to release and lock it to the height you want?Asked on 11/9/2009 by Idaho from Boise, ID1 answer
