Product Description
glock The Glock 26, often referred to as the "baby Glock," has created a true and practical auto pistol alternative to the standard five shot snub nose revolver. The "safe action" system consists of three (3) automatic independently operating mechanical safeties which are sequentially disengaged when pulling the trigger and which are automatically re-engaged when releasing the trigger. The magazine capacity of 10 rounds as standard and the highly accurate firing characteristics explain the worldwide distribution among security personnel and secret services.

I've put 1200+ rounds through mine and no real problems. I had a couple FTE, but I'm going to blame that on the ammo. I've switched brands and not had any problems.

With the short mags, it makes carrying a breeze. But, I've also got two G19 Mags and the grip extensions for the range. I don't have a problem with the short mags, but it makes it easier for the wife to get a good hold with the longer mag.

And the end of the day, its a great little pistol. I like to think of it as "The Little Pistol that Could".

A Glock is a Glock. As LE, the 26 is a great back up if your service weapon is a 19 due to the ability to utilize 19 mags in the 26. If the 19 is not a weapon you're carrying, the new 43 is a better. Way to go. It's thinner and ever so slightly smaller. The 10+1 (26) is better than the 6+1 (43) but to be honest, if you need the extra 4rds in your back up weapon, you are in a very bad place and the other 4 will more than likely not be enough to help you so you might as well be more comfortable the other 99.99% of the time you're carrying it. I own both and carry the 26 as my on-duty back up due to the aforementioned mag compatibility but still carry the 43 to and from work. To end this like I began it, a Glock is a Glock. You can't go wrong with either gun.
I do wish the salesperson were more knowledgable when I ordered with regard to Gen3 or Gen4 as I (along with him) ordered a laser sight for the Gen4 (I ordered online in store) and When it came in and I got home, it didn't fit. The return was simple once they got to my number in store. It was 1 hour and 15 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.

    Comments about Glock 26 Handgun:

Shot first time, every time. It's easy to conceal carry, and why I bought it. Small, yet still packs a punch. It's very easy to take apart and clean, and to modify. Have shot about 700 hundred rounds without a malfunction. Loaned it to my sister and she Limp Wristed it on 3rd round and caused a jam. After learning a proper grip, she shot 100 rounds, no malfunctions. Very happy with it.

This gun is for my wife. She likes the weight and feel of the grip. The recoil was less than she thought it would be. She loves the gun.

          Comments about Glock 26 Handgun:

I am new to concealed carry and I bought this to be my primary concealed carry firearm. I am not a firearm "expert" by any means. Consequently, I tried out several compact and sub-compact firearms before deciding on the Glock 26. The main reasons I picked it were it's overall feel and Glock's reputation for reliability. The trigger pull is extremely smooth. I have relatively small hands and it fits well in my hand. The lack of a pinky grip is no big deal. The firearm is indeed extremely reliable. I had a "limp wrist" problem during my first two trips to the range, but I quickly overcame that and since then, I have had zero problems. I am delighted with this firearm!

            Comments about Glock 26 Handgun:

I use my pistol for home protection and concealed carry. I have used a .380 in the past and wanted a more capable alternative. I am hardly an enthusiast and was able to group my shots immediately. The Glock provides ease of use which translates quickly into acceptable accuracy.
