Q:Are there special instructions for this ski? My kids could not get up. The board was drowning them. One of my sons knows how to ski and wakeboard and still could not get out of the water on this. Any tips?Asked on 7/6/2009 by Anonymous from Waverly, KY
A:We found that for the younger kids (3-4 yrs old) it was beneficial to start from shallow water and have 1-2 people help hold the ski on top of the water with the child already fully standing so the instant the boat took off they where skiing.
Problem is when the water comes rushing at skier they seem to forget/struggle to stand up but since that is part of skiing at any age/level we did not see it as a con but just something that needed to be worked around in the beginning until they had more confidence and knew that once they stood up the water would stop.
Might also try shortening the handle length some so they are not putting as much pressure on the back of the ski and have less of a distance to be fully standing. Dont give up and good luck.Answered on 7/13/2009 by Dad from Fort Worth, TX

Q:I have a grandaughter that is 11 years old weighs about 120 lbs. would this be a good product for her for first time skiingAsked on 6/6/2009 by Anonymous from Sacramento, Ca
A:This product is rated for up to 85 lbs. We would suggest a pair of the Junior combos skis such as item 14134 or 12623, which are rated for ~ 125 lbs. These have the cross bars which really help out with first time skiers.Answered on 6/8/2009 by Michael from Overtons
