    This is the first GPS I have ever owned and it was a breeze to set up. I can't wait to get it out in the woods or back country to see how it performs. I bought for hiking. My only complaint is the TOPO 2008 dvd that comes with it won't load on my PC. I am still working with Garmin to try and get a new DVD.

    Should have gotten a unit with a microSD card slot. The preloaded maps have limited details, and unit will not store much of the downloadable detailed map at one time. Fortunately, we use it in a small (two county) area, otherwise we would not be satisfied with this model. The altimeter is a nice feature and unusual in a unit at this price. Overall it is a nice unit, but the limited storage capacity will be annoying for a lot of people.

    After fighting a Magellan for the past six years I literally gave it a toss. This GPS is the difference between day and night. It is exceptionally accurate. I went out beside a surveyer on my property and he was amazed at how close it showed L&L as well as altitude against his high dollar geological set-up. I was able to locate markers that he gave me longitude and latude for in no time.
    Hunting new property I had never hunted was also easy. It showed me great topo so I could intersect game trails and bedding areas with ease.
    I'm very happy with my purchase and will use it for back-up to my NUVI the next time it tries to take me on a trip down a road that doesn't look like one it should be taking me on.
