The interface is easy-to-use, so you'll spend more time enjoying the outdoors and less time searching for information. Durable and waterproof, it's built to withstand the elements. Built-in 3-axis electronic compass shows your heading, even when you're standing still. Barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your precise altitude and plots barometric pressure over time to forecast changing weather conditions. High-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver with HotFix satellite prediction locates your position quickly and precisely. Built-in worldwide basemap allows for easy navigation anywhere. Wireless capability allows you to share waypoints, tracks, routes, and geocaches with other compatible units. 160 x 240 pixel resolution. Operates up to 20 hrs. on two AA batteries (not included). 2.2" x 3.9" x 1.3". The Dakota 20 Package comes complete with GPS, case, USB cable, and TOPO US 100K map software for incredible terrain detail.

    I love this GPS. The touch screen is great and its very user friendly. Its durable, accurate, and very handsome. The compass is wonderful, i dont even have to take a step and it already can tell me where to go. I use it for geocaching mainly, but have also taken it hiking and biking. It maps the trail for later download. It is not too heavy and it is a very handsome unit. I love garmin products and this one is spot on. Some reviews say the back light isnt very good inside and it is a little dark but not enough to worry about - no one is hiking, biking, geocaching or lost inside. It has been accurate every time, even in cloudy, rainy weather and in the mountains. Paperless caching is a breeze! I wouldnt have any other unit. It has lots of features that i never thought i would want/need, but they are great to have. For the price, i would definitely buy the Dakota 20 again.

    I can't use the product.The GPS is easy to see when outside and seems to pick up the signal rather rapidly. I think it is poor management to not send directions with the unit. The person who writes them should know how to teach in a language that is easyly understand. There should be a definition section with the directions. I now have money tied up in a unit that is of no use to me.

          Did alot of research and found this product. Turned out to be better than I expected! I've used it on new hunting grounds and actually on a road trip as well. Got me there and back every time. Using it to mark ice fishing spots this weekend-I know it will work great!

                                This was a gift to me by way of me requeting gift cards for Gander Mtn for the sole purpose of buying a handheld GPS for Hiking/ Geocaching. I recieved it on a Friday, read the manual and was out on Saturday using it. I downloaded some Caches sites at a park and with a little practice found 1 out of the Caches. The other two I was in the correct areas but found the sites had been cleaned due to tree damage. I sure did enjoy the hiking and navigating to look for these caches. I will be using it for my cross country skiing outings to look for more caches.
