Product Description
gander_mountain Keep your drinks, food, and meat cold with the Gander Mountain PermaChill 50L Cooler. This rotomolded cooler features thick polyurethane insulation plus a refrigeration-style D-seal for strength and maximum ice retention, so your goods stay colder longer in all environments. This all-weather cooler has a lid lock integrated hinge to prevent accidental lid closings, and a T-latch that fits over the screw for a secure fit and corrosion-free closure. The PermaChill Cooler also includes an over-sized 2" drain hole that lets you completely drain your cooler quickly. The drain plug is attached to prevent losing it.

Gander Mountain built this cooler with a dual stainless steel locking plate that provides more security. Convenient molded-in handles as well as removable nylon handles provide comfort and ease when lifting in any situation. The feet are reversible. One side allows easy sliding, while the anti-skid side provides slip protection on a moving boat and helps the cooler stay put over the roughest waves.

This ice chest holds ice just as well as my brothers Yeti, however mine has better features like the drain plug, non skid surface, better handles, and cheaper. I'm really glad I bought this cooler!

Comments about Gander Mountain PermaChill 50L Cooler, White:

Put a dollar bill in the lid , close, secure and pull! Very difficult to extract....Because it seals better than any other chest I've tried. Use it for dry storage on my pontoon boat and in the bed of my truck.. Always secured with a lock and cable....

Comments about Gander Mountain PermaChill 50L Cooler, White:

I was very skeptical of the "extreme" coolers (Yeti, Perma-Chill, Cabelas etc). I thought it was a lot of money for noting. But I found one of these on sale and decided to give it a try. I thought, I'll return this when I confirm my suspicions.

Well...I still have the cooler and it's smaller cousin and looking to buy its bigger brother! No joke these coolers work. No lies... I took 48 bottles of room temp pop and water and iced it all down with 20lbs of ice. That was on friday. We put the cooler on the back of my Polaris 900XP Rzr and rode all day. The temp was in the mid to upper 80s. Anyone who has been around a Rzr knows the beds of these things get HOT!!! Anway after the ride the ice was holding strong and the drinks were nice and cold. I took the cooler off the Rzr and put it in the bed of my F250 for the ride home. It has a bed cover on it so I forgot it in the bed Saturday night and didn't remember to take it out until Sunday afternoon.

Pic 1 is of the cooler when I took it out of the bed. It was quite hot so I took a reading with my temp gun.

Pic 2 is of the cooler's contents. Still icy... Now remember I iced this thing down Friday evening around 7pm. This picture was taking SUNDAY after sitting in the bed of my truck.

Form your own opinion. Buy one and take it back if it doesn't work as well for you as you wish. But I know what I've experienced is nothing short of excellence. I'm a believer...
