Comments about Gander Mountain Vortex Casting Rod, 66", Med. Heavy, 1 pc.:

If you are a beginner bait caster or someone just looking to add a couple rods to your line up i suggest this rod. It is rated a MH but i will say its in btwn a MH and M. I can feel every tick as it is a very sensitive rod. Because of the flexibility of the tip I use it for more than i had planned on when i first bought it. The flex makes it good for smaller crankbaits, swimbaits or chatterbaits/spinnerbaits as well. For the price you cant beat it. If I even get a couple good years out of these rods its worth the money you had to spend. Better than paying an arm and a leg and having something go wrong. With this rod you're not out much. That in itself is good enough for me. Tight lines

Bought this on sale for only $14.99. Best rod for the dollars. Got it for the soon to be wife. After getting the brakes set for her on her first baitcaster she got the hang of it in less than 15 min. I would like to see them in longer lengths.

I have a lot of high dollar rods. Bought these to keep a our lake house so I wouldn't have to transport my other rods. I am very impressed with them! Caught some big fish, too... About an 8 lber was the biggest. Sensativity good and the rod is med heavy, so it can be used with a worm or crank....Will buy more!

1st rod owned with this type handle. Leary with first rod, but handles and grips perfectly, balance is great with med/heavy bait cast reel.
