Best bang for your buck. With nearly a 6' center height, you can change clothes without any issue. It's great for a small family and does not take up hardly any room in the back of the suv, while packed up. If you want a tent for car camping and don't want to break the bank, this is the best tent out there.

My 10 year old son received this as a gift in preparation for his first scout camping trip. We set it up in the yard for the first time and were disappointed when he pulled the rain fly strap to hook it to the o ring and the strap tore! It did not come apart at a seam, it was a clean tear in the middle of the strap. Not a good sign for things to come. The customer service (1 year guarantee) said I had to return it to the store...it was gift, nearest store is an hour drive...camping trip in two days. Not happy with the construction or the customer service. Also, a side note do not use the online chat feature in customer service...I am still waiting after an hour of being "first in queue"...decided to call instead and got right through.

Able to pretty set this tent up mostly by myself, with a little help from my 10 year old. Very pleased with the product for the price. It was on sale!

I used this product at a music festival. It was super windy and other tents were falling down, but this tent held its own. Plenty of space and height. Loved it!

Comments about Gander Mountain Trailhead 6-Person Family Dome Tent:

I bought 2 of these to replace an old worn out tent that was no longer waterproof. These were used for a 5 day backcountry trek with teenagers. The tents were easy to set up and take down. The kids set up every time. The tent is comfortable for 5 and gear, but could sleep 6 without gear. We had a few nights of rain. Tents were dry and warm. They dried quickly and cleaned up easily. Only thing that could improve is if there was a footprint made to fit the tent. I have not found a 10x10 tarp. Otherwise, I am pleased with this purchase.

Comments about Gander Mountain Trailhead 6-Person Family Dome Tent:

This tent is fairly easy for one person to set up. It does withstand high winds very well. However, the second time I used it the rain fly tore where the rod mounts and I had to do a quick modification in the rain and wind to keep my stuff from getting soaked. Now I can't seem to find a replacement rain fly. I explained to Gander Mountain what happened and they said since I had to cut/modify the fly it is not covered under warranty and I would have to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. So far no luck in finding the correct manufacturer. I have been exchanging emails with Gander Mtn, for the past couple of weeks, so far no luck. Otherwise it is a very good tent. I have been on the road since 5/29/15 travelling the US and it is now 7/9/15. Each time I set the tent up I have to use some duct tape to hold the rain fly rod in place, but still works, just not right!
