Comments about Gander Mountain Tactical LED Flashlight, Blue:

Picked this up on Black Friday. At the normal price, I wouldn't even consider buying it, but that's just me. I have been a Maglite user for years, but got tired of having to turn and adjust the lens to turn it on.

If you compare the total output versus intensity of light, you see that this is more of a flood than a spot light. That's useful, as it will brightly light pretty much a whole room. On the other hand, it doesn't project a spot light into the distance. I really like the relative uniformity of the output - it doesn't have the light and dark rings that the Maglite's lens system gives it.

If you have an application where you go back and forth between light and darkness, this may actually be brighter than you want, as it may take your eyes longer than you'd want to readjust to darkness.

Overall, very happy with this item. Bought another smaller one (also on sale) for another location and set of uses.
