Bought this cart last year and put it to the test both last year and this year,,,we pull it behind our mountain bikes (1-2 miles) loaded down with 2 climbers and back packs....last year we hauled 150 lbs deer out plus three climbers all stapped to it pulled like a champ....not sure what all these other guys are doing to it but never anything break or fall off- for the price you cant go wrong.

The cart is very useful for hunters who are accustomed to dragging deer. It is not designed fold down, once assembled, which limits you the type of vihicle it can be transpoted in(trucks, suvs, vans, wagons). Also, it is a bit cumbersome for a single hunter to maneuver it in and out of a vehicle. Pay a little more for the lighter aluminum models that fold down.

Comments about Gander Mountain™ Steel Game Cart:
This cart made getting a heavy 8point out much easier. As in other reviews,I removed pins and replaced with bolts.Bungees or ratchet straps work better to secure your load.I have also used this cart to transport an outboard motor,a large cooler and gear .The tires do have an awful strong odor, but after scrubbing and some tire sprays, the odor is not as strong as it was.As long as you are not on rocky or very uneven terrain, this worked great,if you do get a large deer, like mine,it could probably use an extension handle to make it a little easier.

Comments about Gander Mountain™ Steel Game Cart:
For the price I can't complain. Follow the instructions and it's easy to put together. I'm going to make a few changes to make it exactly what I want. I agree that bolts with nuts would be nice. If you take the D portion of the pins and bend them slightly in wards. They woun't open off the pin. And yes the wheels do smell. But I'm sure that will ware off when I start useing it. A wider, bigger, wheel would be nice for areas where you have a lot of sand. I bought mine to haul my 2 man ladder tree stand, and gear, out to the woods. And remove deer from woods.

Comments about Gander Mountain™ Steel Game Cart:
I bought this on sale and am very pleased so far. I have yet to use it in the field but it went together nicely. I did take the advice of many others and replaced all the pins with my own bolts with wing nuts to make sure it does not fall apart in the field. I do not like the very strong smell the wheels have and currently have them laying out in the yard. They have been there for 2 weeks and still smell of petroleum! I washed them in scent free soap (twice).
I also replaced the cheap straps. They come apart if you pull on them. So I just bought a couple small ratchet straps. No problem.
All in all, I am looking forward to how this is going to save my back to and from the blind.

Comments about Gander Mountain™ Steel Game Cart:
I have a few favorite camping spots which are some distance from where I park. I like to lump everything in and not have to keep returning to the car. To make this easier and less time-consuming, I loaded my gear on this cart to get to the campsite; tent, cooler, backpack, sleeping bag, groceries, and more! This cart has good clearance and handled surprisingly well on a fairly rocky and uneven trail. I did have to use additional bungee cords, though, to keep my load steady.

Q:
Is this easy and fast to assemble and is simple to fold for storage in vehicles?Asked on 10/27/2009 by George from Va Beach VA1 answer
A:
It is pinned together with lock pins that seem a bit stiff. I'm sure after a while they will loosen up a bit. The wheels come off also so it will break down flat. It seems like it would take a bit of fumbling around to break it down completely but not too difficult. I plan on leaving the wheels on but I toss it into the back of a pick-up truck. For the price, I say it's a deal. But if you want simple, push button break down, this might not be the one.Answered on 11/1/2009 by Mike from NE Pennsylvania
