I got to the register and had misread the price, but purchased it anyway. I was on my way to Missouri deer hunting and needed a good one. This is a very comfortable and warm bag. The negative, it's difficult to get out of and get dressed, because it's so warm and comfortable. My two girls (princesses) fight to sleep in it on their beds, because it's so comfortable and warm. I haven't used it on the ground in a tent but wouldn't hesitate one bit. The reason I'm giving a review, was to show it to my mother n law online. She borrowed my bag on the second night of her visit with her husband, while he was hospitalized. She didn't have it the first night and didn't sleep well at all, but the second night she said the bag made a huge difference and never heard a nurse enter the room all night. If you have ever stayed with a patient in the hospital, that makes it worth the money. I need another one, so my family will leave mine alone.
Happy trails...

I bought this bag to replace another zero rated bag which I used for temps down to 10 degrees and it was warm but smaller. This sleeping bag would have been perfect if the temperature rating had been different. It is supposed to be a zero bag but on its maiden first use I camped at 25 degrees and felt the cold creeping through bag. I normally sleep in t shirt and underwear but had to put on long johns in the early morning hours to get back to sleep. I normaly camp at temps no colder than 10 degrees. I will be stitching a liner inside this bag before next using it. It was roomy and well made but just cold. I would reccommend this bag overall but for a higher temp rating.

Comments about Gander Mountain Rifle River Sleeping Bag, 0°F:
Used for winter tent camping, the bag was very comfortable and warm. The extra width allows easy movement inside. Only down side is the weight, though not enough to not buy.
