Use this pack while deer hunting. Has plenty of room for all my gear. I used it last weekend while deer hunting. It rained steadily for about 4hrs, when I got home everything in the pack was completely dry. The only negative I can pick out was the main compartment zipper is a little hard to open and close, but not hard enough to make you not buy it.

I bought this pack because I liked the layout of the pockets and the cargo size. I took it out opening day of bow season and found out what I don't like about it. The main problem is the odor. It has a VERY strong chemical odor to it like many other things that come from China. I aired the bag out outside for a week and it didn't touch the odor. The other issue I have with this pack is the sternum strap is up across my throat with only a couple pounds of gear in the bag. This bag can haul a lot of cargo so that strap needs to be lower. The top of the pack just has too much material attached to the straps. Overall I'm not happy with it after taking it in the field. I plan on returning it and getting something that doesn't stink (pun intended).

    I really wanted to like this bag. Lots of pockets and adjustability. However, it only lasted less than a dozen days in the field before it started falling apart. First the shock cord on the water bottle pouch broke. Several days later, one of the shoulder straps unraveled and came off where it attached to the bottom of the bag.

      Will hold 2 days of gear so long as it is not too bulky or heavy. Front access panel does not fully unzip so loading is compromised. Zipper travel for main compartment is not smooth and tends to bind around corners. The front accesory compartment is too small. Appears to be well contructed - only time will tell for sure. Would recommend only for short term hunting trips - 1 to 2 days max.
