Gander Mountain's hen turkey decoy is a fine value for the money, lightweight and easy to fold for transport in my backpack. I like the fact that there are four positions for the upright stake, giving the hunter the option of making the decoy's posture upright and alert, neutral, or head down for a relaxed feeding attitude. Also, by not snapping the stake into one of the four holes in the body, the decoy will balance on top of the stake and moves with the slightest breeze, making the decoy more lifelike. I did find that when I received the decoy it had taken a "set" that made the shape kind of like a pretzel. Not to worry -just use a hair drier to heat the decoy from the inside until the plastic is warm, then gently twist the decoy into the correct form. After that the decoy will pop back into the right shape even after being folded for transport in a backpack. Great product!

Great, life like item for the price. Only problem i had was that it wouldnt come into form, took a while to get it looking right. Even with that problem, I still got a turkey in the spring.

Comments about Gander Mountain Hen Turkey Decoy:

Good, lightweight, inexpensive decoy. I carried two hens and a jake decoy in my vest this season. They set-up fast and look good. The only drawback is that they are so lightweight that the bodies dent when they are folded which means that it takes some bending and shaping to get them to look full when they are set-up. I had seven turkeys approach these decoys, none ever flared. Killed a nice gobbler when he went nose to nose with the decoys.

Comments about Gander Mountain Hen Turkey Decoy:

Good decoy for the money. Because it is so lightweight, it takes some work to make the body look full after transporting it folded. I used two of these hen decoys and the Jake in my spread and had 7 gobblers approach the decoys close enough to kill. Can't argue with that success.
