Comments about Gander Mountain Grizzly Den Family Tent:

i love the wheels on the bag. When the tent is all folded up (alot easier than most other tents) the bag it is packed in has "luggage" wheels so its a piece of ckae to move around

Comments about Gander Mountain Grizzly Den Family Tent:

The door zipper of our first Grizzly Den broke after about 8 years of use. Liked the tent so well that we bought another. Did keep the poles from the first tent to use as replacements just in case the new poles break. This tent is not perfect, but the plus's outweigh the minus's.

Comments about Gander Mountain Grizzly Den Family Tent:

I use my tent at Boy Scout camping functions. This can sleep eight, but I don't want to trip over people during an extended stay at a camp. At Scout camp I have just one other person sharing my tent and that way we have room for our gear. The slanted windows will not allow rain to get in, so you can leave them open all day. The rain fly fits nicely and keeps you dry during a downpour. although the floor is water proofed, I still used a tarp under the tent and brought some rugs to set dirty boots on to help keep the tent floor clean. I had an issue with the fiberglass poles. The poles will crack over time and it is nearly impossible to get replacements at the Gander stores. I had to resort to using duct tape to repair them. Other than that, this tent has served me well. 4.5 Stars on this tent.

Comments about Gander Mountain Grizzly Den Family Tent:

Great design but fiberglass poles tend to split. Purchased floor model last year but after being set up for 90+ days straight, poles began to split. GM accepted return. GM also can rebuild poles in store. So after looking at many other tents, I'm buying this one again knowing I may at some point have to replace some poles. The tent design is that good. The straight walls allow us to walk around the queen size air mattress -not found in other tents of this type.

Comments about Gander Mountain Grizzly Den Family Tent:

Just purchased this and did a dry run setup. Quite easy. My seven year old and I set up in 20 min (minus stakes -indoors). It's roomy and great height. I like the window design and what seems like will provide great airflow for summer camping. My issue is that the floor fabric is clearly not polyethylene. It is the same as the tent fabric. Now I have to decide whether to return, see if I can seal/pair with a tarp. I'm really disappointed and concerned this wont be weatherproof sitting on the ground.
