Got this in place of their cheaper model. It is very easy to set up and take down. Have not had a chance to use it yet. Would be nice to see bigger wheels(20") even at an increased cost of product. I believe the larger wheels would help a lot on rough ground.

I hunt deer and hogs on public WMA land where no motorized vehicles are allowed off the main forest service roads, and many of the places I hunt are more than 2 miles down rough two-track fire roads and trails. I'm getting old and getting tired of hoofing it, so I've been looking for a lightweight reasonably priced game hauler that I can pull behind my mountain bike. I bought this cart today after looking at dozens of game carts online, thinking a lightweight aluminum cart would be just what I needed. So I bring it home and put together, man what a joke. IMHO this thing is a cheap, flimsy, piece of chinese junk, about like everything else you buy nowadays. I rolled it down my very smooth concrete driveway, it made so much noise I thought the neighbors were going to complain. The folding handle rattles like you never heard, the support braces rattle like crazy, the wheels (which stink like who knows what) are just pinned to the axle with hitch pins, and they rattle and flop around like some kid's weeble-wobble toy. I couldn't imagine taking this thing into the woods, the noise would scare everything within 1/2 mile away and the way the wheels flop all over I wound't trust it to haul much more than its own weight. you could probably make a useful cart out of it by bolting everything together instead of using the quick-hitch pins, having someone make an axle that's threaded on the ends so the wheels don't flop all over the place, and replacing the wheels, but then what have you gained? Buy a better cart to start with and be done with it. Plus the aluminum tubing is so thin I'd honestly be afraid to try to tighten a bolt much past finger tight, you'd probably mash the tubing flat. I'm not trying to be overly critical, but in my opinion this cart is cheap junk and definitley not what I expected given the reviews I've read here. I guess you get what you pay for. It's going back the the store tomorrow.

A:
According to the manufacture, it would have a diameter of 1 1/2 inches.Answered on 12/1/2008 by Spencer from Gander MountainA:
the axle diameter can not be 1 1/2"Answered on 10/15/2009 by c from cA:
Axle is 14mm (0.552 inches). The inner wheel bearing race is much bigger, probably close to 16mm, which accounts for a lot of the slop in the wheels. The axle and wheel bearings are not the same size.Answered on 9/25/2010 by Johnboy from deep south
