In response to another reviewer: The screen goes on the outside of the legs, not the inside. If the screen does not seem to fit, move the legs closer together. Don't stake the legs down until the screen is on and fully zipped.

We camp regularly and use this all the time, including through some significant winds. We do take the solid walls down if wind is severe, but we camp in a high wind area (flipped trailers every few years).

If it had four rain walls, you would not be able to get in or out as it would block the zippers. That's fine with me, as it's a shelter for the kids to play in and to eat under, not a tent for sleeping. Just pick whichever side the rain is not coming from to leave open. Actually, we rarely put up more than two solid panels at a time because they aren't necessary on every side, just whichever side the sun or rain is coming in.

We did have a communication mishap and it blew over on our second use, but that was our own fault as it never got staked down. In spite of tumbling down a gravel road, it held up remarkably well with just a few small holes. Lesson learned and now it is ALWAYS staked properly.

Speaking of staking it down, each corner has a brightly colored orange guy wire. The bright color helps with visibility so we have not tripped over them yet.

It is possible though not pleasant to set up with a single person. Much easier with two people. Goes up in a few minutes. Taking it down takes just a bit longer to properly fold the panels to fit them in the carry case. We often just toss the roof panel on a bed in our trailer instead of folding it, as we always use that one.

It is not fully waterproof. It is like tent material, if you touch it water will wick through. The amount of water coming in is minimal; we get more condensation inside from the dew than from a rainstorm.

It is heavy (fifty-some pounds) but the wheeled carry case and some conveniently placed handles make it manageable.

Overall we have been very pleased with this purchase and we expect it will last for years to come.

Pop-up shelters are rather fragile. My current unit was used only twice. The second time I used it was at a dog show up in New Liskeard, Ontario. On day two of the shows, I was across the fairgrounds waiting to go into the group ring when the wind picked up. By the time I got back to my set-up, my unit was turned into a pretzel. The folks set up next to me tried to collapse my unit when the wind picked up, but it was too late. Other for the wind damage, the unit performed well, but right now it's useless to me. I wish I could buy just a replacement frame. As it stands now, the unit cost was $150.00 per usage.

This is a great canopy. We used it about two weeks total this camping season and had no issues with it. It has a lot of flexibility based on weather and what you want to do with it, you can have just the canopy, the canopy and screen tent or add the 3 sides also which is great for a cool rainy day. Held up well to a nice storm while camping with a lot of wind and heavy rain.

Wonderful addition to camping space, especially when its raining. The price of 179 was spectacular as was the service Stephanie gave us.
She went out of her way to look for the product in the Colvin store and then assisted with the order online. You couldn't have a better kind and helpful professional!

Comments about Gander Mountain Combo 10 x 10 Canopy w/Mesh Sides and Wind Walls:

I've been buying high-end camping gear for decades. I happen to see one of these erected while camping in PA. I was extremely impressed with how bright, open, and airy it was. Then the owner described how it was erected and I was sold. I returned home and found one to purchase here. When I got it, I didn't even have to read the instructions it was so intuitive. My nephew and I put it up in 15 minutes. Then we left it up during some pretty heavy duty rain storms here in CT and it acquitted itself very well, indeed. I LOVE that someone took the time to engineer this thing so well. There is nothing that I would do differently. All of the connections are high-quality. The only thing I don't use are the stakes that came with this gorgeous screen-house. They are useless but I have plenty of the more heavy-duty ones needed for all sorts of terrain. The day we put this one up I also erected the Eureka Breezeway that I had paid $325 for two years earlier. I sold it on the front lawn. The new Gander Mountain screen-house offers higher sides, straight sides (important in a heavy rain) and a very light and airy feeling when "trapped" in there during a rainy day in the woods. Top drawer all the way!

Comments about Gander Mountain Combo 10 x 10 Canopy w/Mesh Sides and Wind Walls:

We have used this several times on camping trips for the past 4 years. Friends have also borrowed it numerous times on their trips as well. This year we have also used it on our deck to provide shade for our new baby and it has held up tremendously! Easy to set up in 10 minutes with 2 people but can be set up alone if needed. I have done it alone several times. Will buy another if this one ever needs replacing. So far not even one tear and it has been through a lot of storms this summer on our deck. Not completely waterproof in a long, steady, all day rain but you will stay dry through occasional showers. Love this and wouldn't camp without it!
