It will do a good job a few times a year. Don't expect to run a deli shop with it.

Comments about Gander Mountain 7.5" Food Slicer:

I originally posted this review last week but GM removed it so I am putting it back.

So I got this for christmas as a gift and was initially more impressed than I have come to be after using it 10 or so times. Blade removal is easy and that is nice, however the food carriage where you rest the meat to be sliced has large grooves where the metal plating meets the plastic and this cannot be taken apart. The meat runs over the groove and fills it with bits and you must then take a brush and clean all this out when you are done. The design would be better with a one piece food carriage, preferably made of metal, not plastic. The plastic pusher is useless and only achieves mangling and bending of whatever you are trying to slice. I also wish the slicer was at a greater angle as slices do not fall away from the blade and you must move them by hand. Lastly I wish the carriage was adjustable for height because slicing something thin, like a london broil, is not ideal because it is cutting on the bottom end of the blade and tends to be pulled under instead of slicing through. All in all not bad for the price but not the best thing either.
