Great, best treble hooks i have ever used. I use them on all the thousands of hard baits i have. Never use another hook, not only does it hook everything that hits the red color attracts and even when the paint wears off they are then gold which i think i even get more bites when they are gold whether with this treble or any other red hook they make. They never bend, unless your abusing them with a pliers and will never ever break.

Want to make sure you dont loose few fish then go to this hook. Just size it up properly for the bait, one of my baits used a 6 and the fish bounced off of it like pinballs and switched to a 4 and didnt loose many, once they are hooked they dont come off. Catch more fish, with the red color to it and when the wears off its gold and i catch more fish then when its gold. Cant go wrong with this hook in any size or im saying this for the treble hook but all their hooks are the best. Gamakatsu the pros choice.

Gamakatsu hooks are probably the sharpest on the market but I had several bass come unbuttoned during tournaments and couldn't figure out why. I finally "babied" a 7 pound largemouth into my net and the hook fell out in the net. I found that both trebles were almost straightened out, so if I'd put much pressure on that fish, it would have been another story about the one that got away. Go with the 2X strong versions, if you can find them (Note: Gander Mountain doesn't carry them). These trebles are too soft and weak to be reliable, especially if money is on the line.

This is my hook of choice for custom made lures. The consistency of the weld of third hook of treble shaft affords good balance and buck tail building base that is easy to duplicate. Wrapped shafts don't rust or corrode when drying after use when dressed with a custom buck tail. The EWG, "extra wide gap"
prevents snagging on rocks, when shore casting with spinners and is kind to custom painted bodies of lures.
