Comments about GSI Outdoors Glacier 14-Cup Percolater, 34 oz.:
I bought this coffee maker in March and have already replaced the glass bowl twice as it snaps off the lid and drops the broken glass into the coffee, The screw on glass bowl is a very brittle glass and the threads snap off while it purculating (sp) and I only installed it once when opened, cleaned, and made ready for use.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Glacier 14-Cup Percolater, 34 oz.:
This coffee percolater makes the best tasting coffee ever. I've tried all kinds and have few that that can compare to this one. I'm not sure if it is because it's stainless steel or what but it does make a great cupa. It cleans easily and takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. I'm not sure if this is a problem that anyone else has had but the glass viewknob shattered from the heat....something to keep your eye on. Other than that this is worth the extra $$$.

Comments about GSI Outdoors Glacier 14-Cup Percolater, 34 oz.:
Beautiful country chic coffee pot in brilliant stainless steel.
Purchased to replace electric drip pots that are so common today. I had to replace my drip pots several times each year, as we have hard water, and vinegar-cleaning becomes ineffective after a while.
This is an upscale improvement to the stove top percolator I use in our camper. Looks great sitting on my stainless steel stove. Makes great coffee. Smells great while percking. AND, I can thoroughly clean all parts of this coffee pot. I'll never go back to the drip kind. As a matter of fact, I am waiting for my second stainless percolator, since I love my coffee pot in Wisconsin so much, I now want one for our second home in Colorado.
Only problem that I have encountered - The original glass perc top broke after about 2 weeks' use. I believe this is due to the glass and the stainless steel's expansion and contraction happening at different rates. To fix this....I got a replacement top. Now, I do not screw the perc top too tightly. I screw it loosely (tight enough to pour, tight enough to allow percing without spillage). So, far this solution is working well.
Love it. Would recommend it to everyone who wants an awesome percolator. I am permanently DONE with electric drip coffee pots.
Anxiously awaiting the delivery of my second GSI Glacier, 14-cup coffee percolator.
