Instructions say to attach poles so that they are touching the boat's side rails. I have a smaller boat (18' sea ray). Could not put poles touching boat because of to two reasons.

I had to cut the poles at a 45 (under the boat) so that it would not touch the boat, or stratch while loading. Second if I put the poles touching the boat while on trailer then the "U" bolts were located on the curve part of poles, which made poles very unstable.

Comments about Fulton Boat Guides, pair:

After seeing these on a friends 24 foot pontoon and listening to him about how good they were in this application, I bought a set for my 21 foot pontoon and am super happy-they are durable and really help in loading-they will give a little and spring back if you don't hit the bunks just right. I am satisfied customer and recommend these to anyone with a pontoon boat.

I use the product the recover my pontoon boat.
They are extremely sturdy and recover from abuse quite well.
Mounting this product took some ingenuity on my part. Boat trailers are quite varied but I finally did get it to work.

This product helps us guide out pontoon boat onto the trailer. We live on a river and the current can be strong and it is hard to judge where the trailer is on the boat ramp. Husband says it is fantastic

Comments about Fulton Boat Guides, pair:

Works just as expected. They have just enough flex to make it easy to align boat on trailer. These may not work on boats that have a considerable amount that hangs over trailer sides.

If you want the trailer lights for the mounting bracket kit use either Item # 73346 for standard lights or Item # 76087 for LED lights (recommended).
